The Government of the Republic of Ghana has received a Grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) toward the cost of the Access, Quality Improvement and Retention Enhancement Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to eligible payments under the contract for the engagement.
Purpose of the job:
Responsible for all Civil Engineering Works.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist to prepare complete working drawings
- Answer queries on design specifications
- Assist in the preparation of Annual Work Plans and Procurement Plans
- Initiate, plan, develop and implement strategies for monitoring in consultation with the Administrator
- Assist in the procurement process at the key stages such as notifications, invitation for bids, bid opening and assessment, evaluation and award recommendation, negotiations and signing of contracts and execution
- Certify payment certificates
- Assess physical construction requirements
- Verify and validate construction cost and prices of basic inputs
- Carry out pre and post contract activities
- Under take physical site inspections and conduct site meetings
- Prepare relevant reports for each monitoring trek
- Liaise with Architect to prepare structural drawings
- Carry out Technical Auditing
Required Skills or Experience
- Must possess BSc (Civil Engineer) from a recognize University
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years Post qualification experience
- Must be familiar with the use of appropriate Civil/Structural Engineers Softwares
