The Ministry of Education invites interested and qualified postulants to apply for the position of a Coordinator of Francophone Affairs.
Job Description
Job Title: Coordinator of Francophone Affairs
Job Purpose
• To initiate the formulation and review of policies on the teaching and learning of French and establish guidelines and procedures for their implementation
Job Summary
• Coordinate all matters relating to the teaching and learning of French in Ghana (Pre-tertiary and tertiary levels) and see to the harmonization of programs and activities of the departments of French in the traditional university, Technical universities and university colleges of education
• Liaise with the French Embassy for the implementation of French sponsored programs
• Make proposals for Ghana to Francophonie authorities and serve as National Correspondent to the International Organization of Francophonie and report to the Minister
• Monitor activities of the national coordination office of the regional center for the teaching and learning of French (CREF)
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Hon. Minister
Qualification Required & Experience
• A Master’s degree in French, preferably in French Education
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the classroom with a relevant master’s degree
• A trainer of trainers certificate or attestation from a recognized training institution in Ghana or in a francophone country
• Must be well versed in matters of Francophone
• Must be computer literate
