This role will lead a multi-functional team to manage million dollars project, working with an external manufacturer to build a facility to produce and supply powdered beverage and manage the closure of the existing factory in Accra, Ghana. This project is a part of the Supply Chain Reinvention program of Mondelēz International. The job offers a unique growth opportunity by combining project management, multi functional team management, planning and execution a site closure and exposure to the top management of the region. This job will run from March 2017 to April 2018.

Job Description

Job Title: Plot Project Program Leader

The successful candidate will:

• Be the Single Point of Contact for the overall project and activities from the Mondelez side.
• Lead a multi-functional team of Regional Engineering, External Manufacturing (EM) and the local Accra plant team and work with the External Manufacturer’s project team to the successful completion of the project. The project includes the EM building/converting a facility for production purposes, transfer of equipment from Accra plant to the EM facility and managing the closure of the Accra plant.
• Liaison with the project leader from External Manufacturer to ensure timely completion of all the activities in the Critical Path Schedule as per the desired timing.
• Liaison with regional quality and safety resources to have the EM qualified as a supplier.
• Liaison with internal stake holders to arrange the resources required at different stages of the project.
• Ensure timely completion of all activities of the project that are to be executed by Cadbury Ghana Limited (our affiliate) or Mondelez regional resources.
• Prepare Qualification Criteria with internal and external stakeholders alignment and ensure the operation gets qualified and the quality approved.
• Prepare plans related to Phase in Phase out for transition to the external manufacturer including details related to production volumes in the current Accra facility, anticipation stock buildup to allow the production equipment relocation from Accra plant to the contract manufacturer and ensure proper and timely communication to all stakeholders and execute the plans.
• Manage the plant closure including the site clearance and people lay off ensuring people are treated with respect during the process.
• Coordinate and work with the Accra plant team for smooth production before the transition and well planned and executed transition.
• Manage the project spending and ensure proper budget tracking and spending control of severance, write off, site clearance and any capital expenditure that is needed to keep the plant running until the EM facility is ready.
• Provide regular updates, highlight concerns and plan for contingencies not letting the project timelines getting delayed.
• Candidate must be SG 12 or 13
• Proven track record of successfully handling complex projects/situations; experience in Engineering and/or manufacturing will be an advantage
• Good leadership skill and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders
• Can handle ambiguity; has a high learning agility and performs well under pressure
• Must be self-driven and does not require day to day supervision
