Job Description

Job Title: Sales Executive

Job Summary

•   As a Sales Executive you will be part of a team that is responsible for managing Key Accounts and researching and developing new accounts to meet sales targets. You will have a targeted appointment schedule for face to face calls with existing and prospective clients. You  will be required to utilise tracking and reporting systems to company standard as well as understaking market research as required
•   You are also responsible for making repeat sales to existing customers, negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales. Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends. You will represent the hotel at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations and identify new markets and business opportunities
•   Ensure maximum sales of hotel public space, give a consisdent feedback covering market information to your supervisor, develop leads on trade associations, clubs and organisations, local associations and weddings through newspapers, directories and from past business files as well asmanage Key Accounts and produce strategic account plans to maximise opportunities

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A 1st Degree in any related field from a recognised tertiary institution. A professional qualification in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage
•   Excellent communication skills and good relationship building skills with a minimum of one year hotel experience
•   Must be confident and possess a determined approach at all times
•   Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
•   Self-motivation, drive and a competititive streak
•   Must have good sales techniques to present the service in a stuctured professional way face to face.
