Job Summary:

  1. Effectively co-ordinate and plan the core network architecture to achieve efficient redundancy leading to a quality network, without congestion. Explore possibilities to implement new features and technologies to enhance the network.

Job Role:

  1. Test, Evaluate and Integrate new features and functionality
  2. Monitor voice route utilization/Congestion
  3. Critical link availability
  4. Monitor C7 load
  5. Plan integration of new nodes
  6. Plan all connectivity to network elements
  7. Plan & document all integration plans
  8. Implement best routing scenarios

Educational Requirements:

  1. Electrical/Telecom Engineering related Degree  with 2 years Plus working experience in planning or AXE Operation and Maintenance Environments

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Professional competencies

  1. Core network Infrastructure
  2. GSM node hardware dimensioning
  3. GSM network quality management

Technical competencies

  1. A good knowledge of technological advances in the expanded telecommunications industry e.g WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, WIMAX, WIFI etc.
  2. Understanding of telecommunications protocols like CCITT 7, ANSAP, MAP, ISUP, etc·
  3. Knowledge of AXE hardware & software
  4. Demonstrated Switch Network performance improvement plan history.
