National Labour Commission (NLC) was establish in consonance with the Labour Act 2003, Act 651. Its main mission is to promote a peaceful and harmonious industrial relations in the country. The Commission consists of seven commissioners (nominated by government, employers and organised labour), inaugurated by the President on 6th April 2005, and a secretariat. The NLCs functions and powers are stipulated in sections 138 and 139 of the Act.
Job Description
Duty Station: The duty station for both positions will be either Accra or Sekondi/Takoradi and is dependent at the time of engagement
Job Position:
Work at the Administration Department
Duties:
Handle and Manage Correspondence
Maintain workflow – correspondence
Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices and records keeping
Ensure the application of methods in the receipt, registration and maintenance of documents
Writing Minutes and Reports
Filing
Typing of Correspondence
Provide information by answering questions and requests
Offer administrative support services
Salary:
The salary level attached to each of the above positions is attractive and commensurate to the position
Required Skills or Experience
Tertiary Education acquired from a recognised institution – 1st degree in Business Field or
Diploma in Business Studies (HND) with goods grades
Additional Requirements:
G.C.E ‘O’ Level Certificate or SHSCE with at least Five Credits including English Language and Mathematics
At least three years’ working experience in a similar position
Computer Literate – MS Word, Power Point, Excel
Knowledgeable in Office Management and Office Practice
Ability to use the Internet
Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Even Temper and ability to get along with others
Ability to work for long hours
