Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
Support Field Service Customer Engineers providing direct resolution at customer level. Ability to diagnose problems and provide second line support for field team is mandatory.
The role would carry out repairs and replace components on Tier I equipment such as ATMS, PCs and peripherals, printers, Payment Solution Devices such as Itrans, and CISCO devices. The Customer Engineer will also assist in site preparation–including installation of cable, staging of equipment, and minor testing of equipment.
Ability to engaged other persons in the resolution chain to resolve customer problems is a plus. A deep appreciation of systems software and use in ATM, ATM type support environments is appreciated
Additional experience in the hardware and software support of Sun Systems, Oracle, Dell and Compaq Servers would be an added advantage
Role is a customer facing role so ability to manage the relationship, review SLA against KPI, generate reports and make presentations is mandatory.
Be able to articulate technical issues simply and properly to customers. Be able to engage Branch managers with concerns noticed in customer environment. He/she should be able to:
Follow appropriate security procedures when working with ATM’s and or within financial institutions
Show technical competence and appreciation of the technical issues
Report accurate and prompt escalation of calls, reports and activities.
Advance knowledge in all MS products including Publisher, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint etc. is mandatory.
Minimum a Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or ICT related field is appreciated or a degree in any other area but with MSC in Information Analysis, Design and management is equally suitable.
Certification in Cisco CCNA is necessary.
Must have a minimum of two years of experience.
