Field Technical Engineer
Role Type Network Administrator
On Site Network Administrator would provide support for the Network Infrastructure, provide maintenance support services and onsite technical support to customers.
The responsibilities include:
•The FTE will be part of the Support team that install, configure and manages, monitors systems for a 24/7 Infrastructure.
•Install and maintain network routing, switching and security;
•Troubleshoot and diagnosing network connectivity issues;
•Perform protocol analysis and networking monitoring;
•Install and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection;
•Provides first and second level support for LAN and WAN issues;
•Performs installation and maintenance of network, security and remote access components;
•Keeps network documentation current and relevant
•Performs moves/adds/changes, as needed
•Monitors network to ensure proper operations;
•Adheres to network and security installation standards;
•Coordinates services calls and vendor support as required;
Role Skill Set Requirement:
•B.S. in Computer Science/related IT field or equivalent experience.
•5+ years of experience in complex multi-site LAN/WAN environments required
•10+ years of total IT/network experience required;
•Must have demonstrated knowledge and/or skills in the areas responsibilities above;
•Experience in active directory /DCHP, ISA Servers, VMware, Cisco and similar switches, routers and firewalls, Ethernet, VLANs, TCP/IP, OSPF,
IPSec, BGP, PPP, SNMP, plus other routing and routed protocols, DHCP,
DNS, Domain Controllers, Server Operating Systems;
•VoIP (sip) telecoms experience;
•Networking monitoring tools.
•Certification in Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
