Reporting to the Group CEO, the jobholder will be responsible to lead and direct the formulation of corporate business strategies and provide oversight of their execution.In relation to quality assurance, (s)he will be the overall custodian of editorial policies and standards for content and
coverage of Current Affairs, Sports, and Entertainment for the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze metrics and develop expertise in content performance and Brand Consistency.
Maintain consistent and accurate Brand Voice as guided by superior Content & Programming editorial strategies.
Oversee the integration of cross-discipline creative and editorial teams into an integrated content development group and delivery capability
Lead the Executive Committee of the Group in the formulation of the corporate strategies of the Group and the development of business strategies for the five subsidiaries and functional strategies of the support services, which are derived from the corporate strategies.
Coordinates the allocation of resources to the Subsidiaries to ensure the successful execution of these strategies within cost.
Advise on best practices, lead the development of content and publishing/broadcast editorial strategies
Collaborate with news and other content directors to execute high journalistic standards, practices and policies to ensure all produced content is accurate, robust, differentiated and best of breed.
Establish editorial quality and operational metrics for efficient enforcement and monitoring
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or Business Administration or equivalent academic qualification.
A minimum of Ten (10) years of experience in General Management or other similar position.
Professional Certification in Management or Management related courses such as CIM, IHRMP, CIPD will be an added advantage
Excellent leadership, negotiating, influencing and good presentation skills.
