Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Research And Intelligence Officer

Job Summary

Provide consulting and interpretation of market and consumer/customer research data to the marketing team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor all marketing campaigns;
  • Analyse leads that come into the Students Management System (SMS) database;
  • Provide suggestions for upcoming campaigns based on market research;
  • Assist with the development of website content based on google analytics;
  • Conduct periodic and effective market research and competitor analysis to support decision making process;
  • Assess the results and effectiveness of PR and Marketing campaigns as well as press coverage on all platforms and make appropriate recommendations;
  • Submit periodic reports on effectiveness of marketing campaigns, lead analysis, lead target achievements, competitor analysis and market intelligence, or any other ad hoc reports as required;
  • Administrative tasks (filing, data collection, presentation of market research and PR, updating LPOs and liaising with Finance to keep track of budgets);
  • Work closely with PR and Marketing Manager and other administrative and academic staff to take responsibility for the organisation of university events (e.g. student recruitment events, conferences and exhibitions, postgraduate and undergraduate Open Days and fairs, VIP visits, graduations and public lectures);
  • Represent the university at appropriate recruitment and promotional events  as required;
  • Monitor press coverage and contributes to the production of media reports;
  • Leverage Google Analytics reporting tools to analyze and report on site visitor/customer activities and identify areas for improvement;

Required Skills or Experience

  • A good first degree in Marketing, Statistics, Business Administration or equivalent discipline;
  • In depth knowledge of the workings of digital media platforms;
  • Significant and proven experience with both qualitative and quantitative state of the art research methodologies;
  • Proven experience in market research;
  • Good report writing and presentation skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and be proactive;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite;
  • Strong numeracy skills;
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data;
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
