Job Description
Job Title: Technical Engineer
REPORTS TO: WATER SYSTEMS MANAGER
MAIN DUTIES
Checks all components of the water delivery systems (scheduled and ad hoc) and carries out routine preventive and repair maintenance.
Identifies faults beyond his remedy capacity and arranges for repairs after reporting to and receiving approval of Systems Manager.
Assists with periodic water quality tests and also prepare technical reports on assigned systems.
Carries out troubleshooting and correction of marginal electrical faults.
Carries out periodic lubrication and fuelling of equipment.
Advises on and assists with authorized private water connections.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must have
A minimum of Higher National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with not less than two (2) years’ postqualification industrial experience, including National Service.
Demonstrable understanding of ‘WASH’ management and challenges.
Demonstrable proficiency in the use of computers with the ability to present reports in at least ‘Word’ and ‘Excel’.
Satisfactory performance at a selection interview
