Job Title 1: Mine Operations Shift Supervisor – Akyem Project
Job Description
The successful candidate will direct and control daily and long-term mining activities in the open pit mining area under limited supervision.
Essential Duties:
- Direct and oversee all mining activities such as areas to be mined and developed, rate of development, control of mineral quality and tonnage, stockpile and dump areas are maintained within engineered limits
- Direct the distribution of labour, supplies and equipment
- Coordinate with the Engineering Department to ensure that Project Work is completed within the accepted project time schedules
- Coordinate the maintenance of mine equipment with the Maintenance Department
- Analyze daily production and cost data to ensure the mine is operating within overall production and budget forecasts

Required Skills or Experience
- A first degree in Mining Engineering or related field

- Must currently possess Ghana Statutory Certification for FirstAid, Blasting and Mine Foreman

Job Title 4: Supervisor Administration and Contracts – Ahafo Mine

Job Description
The successful candidate will report to the Site Services Deputy Coordinator. She/he will serve as the coordination point for a wide range of contracted site services to ensure Newmont Ghana’s contractual interests are well managed and site services function with maximum efficiency.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate and control the reconciliation of monthly contractor invoices
- Participate in monthly inspection of Hospitality and Facility Management (HFM) in accordance with Performance Metrics and KPI’s
- Supervise the inventory control company assets, inclusive of issuing, receiving and re-ordering
- Determine contract violations and assist in planning remedial steps to assist service provider to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Coordinate all maintenance requisitions for facilities in area of responsibility, ensuring work orders are checked and closed out
