Job Description

Job Title: Executive Dean

NiBS is seeking to appoint an Executive Dean to lead the strategic development of the Business School. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of innovative postgraduate business education programs in Ghana and the sub-region.

Role

The overall purpose of the position is to lead the innovation, design, and delivery of professional post experience and postgraduate academic programs delivered by NiBS faculty and adjunct faculty; and the achievement of the academic and commercial objectives of the Business School.

Our Current Programs

True to our mission, we currently offer the following programs with distinctive creative design and delivery models:

Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in affiliation with SBS Swiss Business School (SBS), Zurich. Program ranked number 18 in the Global DBA Rankings EURO 2016.

Executive MBA in affiliation with SBS Swiss Business School (SBS), Zurich. Program ranked number 6 in the Global Executive MBA Rankings 2017.

PhD in Business Administration in affiliation with Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA)

Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (PG-CBA)

Executive Education Programs in affiliation with Mannheim Business School and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany

Required Skills or Experience

Ideally a business and/or academic leader with several years of senior management experience in corporate environments, preferably with some foreign exposure and experience.

You have a postgraduate degree (preferably Executive MBA, Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) or PhD from a recognized and accredited tertiary institution.

You have entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen with proven abilities in innovation, marketing, administration, relationship development, budget and financial planing, and staff management.

You have the knack for developing innovative solutions in the customer space, able to see and capture opportunities few people see, and an
understanding and appreciation of technology and its use and impact on organizations.

You have outstanding communications, relationship management and negotiation skills to be effective in formal and informal interactions with university partners, executive students, staff and external stakeholders (the professions, industries and the wider community).
