The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory body established by the NRA Act, 2015 (Act 895) and began operations in January 2016. The NRA has a statutory responsibility for regulating civilian use of nuclear and other radioactive materials in medicine, industry, agriculture, education and research in Ghana. This is to ensure the protection of people and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation.

Job Description
Job Title: Regulatory Officer – Civil Engineering.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting review and assessments of steel and concrete analyses and designs for nuclear installations, including containment buildings, reactor support structures and foundations. The position will also involve conducting inspections to ensure quality control, and also the developing regulatory documents including regulations and guidelines for licensees.
Qualification
Minimum of Masters in civil engineering or another related subject area. Knowledge in nuclear engineering will be an added advantage.
