Job Description

Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

Responsibilities

Assists in the daily management of the pharmacy areas
Addresses personnel, operational and scheduling issues and needs
Builds commitment and promotes quality services
Performs data collection to support regulatory requirements and for quality improvement measures to support the understanding of operational safety and effectiveness
Conducts routine audits to ensure compliance
Supports implementation of projects and programs
Responsible for training and development activities for area personnel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree is required but Master’s Degree or Pharm Doctor preferred
Three 8+ years of pharmacy work experience and/or pharmacy residency experience Or 5 years (3) of pharmacy residency training
2+ years of experience with provider payment methodologies and managing medical drug spend
License to practice pharmacy in Ghana.
Knowledge of pediatric drug therapy, general management theory, general finance and basic MIS
Operate equipment used in the preparation of sterile products (e.g. Automix and Micromix), work with hazardous substances (e.g. cytotoxic agents, hydrochloric acid, and isopropyl alcohol), and work under pressure
At least an intermediate level of proficiency in performing financial impact analysis, risk management, and data manipulation
Supervisory experience
Demonstrates strong competency in the areas of business acumen, financial savvy, and innovative thinking.
Creative thinker with strong organization and planning skills
Ability to influence others in a positive way and work with cross matrix partners
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
