Job Description

Investigate complaints against officers of the bank including allegations of fraud; report on investigations carried out in the various departments within the institution and make appropriate recommendations where necessary for implementation.

Conducts audit investigations to establish facts of reported cases from complainants or accused, using supportive information from witnesses or tangible evidence
Conducts interviews to identify officers being accused of fraud and obtain responses to accusation and obtain facts concerning complaints
Identify other accomplices to cases being investigated
Records interviews and prepares charges and responses to charges
Writes report of findings from results of investigation and submits reports to Head of Audit for review
Testifies at hearing as and when necessary
Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Internal Audit

Required Skills or Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related subjects from a reputable university or college
Part of qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA-Ghana)
At least 2-4 years related experience or training
Good oral and written communication skills
Good leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret documents regulations, policies and procedures
Problem solving skills
Appreciable knowledge in core Accounting software (Accpac, eMerge), Microsoft word and Excel
