Job Description

Responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance and effectively delivery of the institution’s procurement needs. Provides input and support to the management team in delivering procurement efficiencies (cost, time, quality) and continuous performance improvement

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities:

Planning, implementing and driving the procurement strategy
Negotiating partnerships agreements and managing supplier relationships
Organizing and controlling tenders and competitve bidding tasks
Monitoring, analyzing and controlling the procurement budget, in collaboration with financial controller
Researching and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current procurement legislation
Manage staff to achieve diligence, productivity, and compliance in institutional procurement

Required Skills or Experience

A good university degree or HND in Purchasing and Supply or related field
At least three years working experience in a similar position
Good negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage people to achieve results
Good analytical and organizational skills
Knowledge in quality standards for office supplies
