A highly prestigious financial institution is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the under-mentioned vacant position in Kumasi and Accra.

Job Description

Job Title: Head of Credit

Job Purpose:

• Ensure optimum credit administration which involves the entire process of credit application and review, disbursement and denial of credit application with strict adherence to credit policy. The role is also to evaluate credit creditworthiness of loan application with the increasing revenue and reducing losses to the company.

Job Summary


• Identify the needs of the target market and design loan products to meet the target market/clients
• Will be in charge of drawing strategic plans to attract clients for the company’s products
• Help in recruiting and training the credit officers on regular intervals
• Ensure that collaborals are registered with Bank of Ghana Collateral Registry Unit
• Conduct loan appraisals and credit reviews
• Instituting credit policies and procedures in consultation with the board
• Lead recovery actions with the team in ensuring that good portfolio quality is met

Qualification Required & Experience

• Degree from a recognized university
• Masters in Finance/Accounting/Banking/ Chartered member of professional accounting body will be an added advantage
• Qualification in LLB/LLM will be an added advantage
• Must have at least 10 years of work experience in credit from a financial institution
• Should have experience in Micro and SMR lending
Location: Kumasi and Accra
