Project Surveyor – Ahafo Operations
Newmont Ghana Gold Limited a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the World’s largest gold mining companies.
Job Description
The successful candidate will report to the Project Engineering Superintendent and perform land and infrastructure survey activities including topography, land boundary, elevation, dimensional analysis of land and infrastructure projects for engineering and construction.
Essential Duties:
- Provide daily coordination and prioritization of work for survey team to ensure best utilization of resources to complete the required works
- Work effectively with contractors, construction supervisors and other project teams to exercise quality control and ensure the project deadlines are meet
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements taken and calculations perform for the projects
- Establish permanent survey bench-marks and transfer points using appropriate survey instruments and GPS
- Perform survey works, process survey data to generate AutoCAD drawing for further engineering and construction references

Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum B.Sc Degree in Geodetics/Civil Engineering
- Minimum 8 years’ experience as surveyor in mining or other heavy industrial projects
- Able to work effectively with minimum supervision and in a team
- Capable of using MS Office package
- Capable of using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil-3D packages
