Job Description
Job Title: Procurement Officer
Job Purpose
To provide technical and operational support for the performance of the procurement functions of the entity.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collates date for the formulation of policies
• Develops the procurement manual and procedures
• Develops, maintains and updates the supplier’s register
• Prepares the annual procurement plan
• Facilitates the effective management of the procurement process
• Develops systems and mechanisms for effective stores management
• collates data for the preparation of the budget and work plan of the unit
• Collates data for the preparation of the annual and other periodic reports of the unit
• Supervises and appraises the performance of subordinate staff
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in supply chain management, procurement, purchasing, and supply or any other relevant field
• A minimum of 1-year post-bachelor’s Degree relevant work experience in a reputable organization
• Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the entity in collaboration with the public services commission
