We wish to recruit an Associate for our Africa Risk & Quality Department
Job Description
Job Title: Africa Risk & Quality – Associate (Entry Level)
Roles & Responsibilities
Compliance
●Provide support to the Africa R&Q Associate Director in all Risk, Independence and Quality matters
●Assist in the development of the Africa and member firm action plans for all PwC Network Standards
●Assist in the development and roll-out of documentation files for Africa and the each of the 9 member firms in East and West Africa for approval by the Africa R&Q Associate Director
●Assist in maintaining a repository of information for PwC risk management methodology and best practices across Africa
Independence
●Assist in processing Relationship Checks & Independence Assessment requests and results
●Assist in the monitoring of firmwide Independence applications such as the Joint Business Relationship
●Assist in the generation and reconciliation of reports from the various risk management tools/databases and ensure remediation is carried out where required
afFirm (risk assessment tool)
●Assist the afFirm team in maintaining the afFirm Helpdesk and responding to afFirm queries
●Assist in the processing of risk assessment entries within the SLA of 48 hours
●Assist the afFirm team in carrying out detailed reviews of risk assessments in line with the afFirm checklist
●Assist in the processing and/or clearing of background checks for risk assessments
●Assist in updating risk assessments with conflict check results on Independence
●Assist in processing International Check requests and updating results in risk assessments
●Assist in the regular compilation and upload of updates to the afFirm support databases
Monitoring and Reporting
●Assist in the monitoring of compliance with the PwC Global Network Risk Management standards for each of the 9 member firms in East and West Africa.
●Assist in the review of documentation files for each of the 9 member firms in East and West Africa.
●Assist in the management of the risk management documentation files
Requirements
●First Degree in Risk Management or a Business related discipline
●Professional Qualification (ACCA, IRM etc) at all levels
● Ability to manage workload and work under pressure to achieve deadlines and timelines
●Excellent interpersonal skills
●Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients i.e. staff and partners
●Attention to detail

Additional Information
●Provide ad-hoc support to Country R&Q functions in the absence of team members.
●Assist the Africa R&Q team in the performance of administrative tasks such as arranging and organizing logistics for all travels, training, conferences etc.
●Ensure effective coordination of Africa R&Q meetings and workshops
●Assist in the review and maintenance of R&Q Systems
●Assist in carrying out informative research as required
●Support Africa R&Q Central Team in all assignments
●Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned
