Sales Operation role is to guide the sales team by developing a structured sales process, analyzing sales performance within the framework of that process, and implementing new strategies based on the results of their analysis. Oversee sales performance analyses and reporting, territory alignment, and customer profiling and targeting activities.

Job Description

Job Title: B2B Sales Operations Lead

Key Duties

Business Development & Sales

  • Identifies development potential leads by studying current business within the education industry as well as prospective industries; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities.

  • Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.

  • Develops sales by making initial presentations and demos; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services as well as demonstrating relevant use cases

  • Closes sales by building connections and robust network, overcoming objections and managing timelines and expectations; preparing contracts. Owning and managing customer success once a deal has been closed. This involves working closely with the tech, product, marketing and customer care teams

  • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.

  • Continuously create and implement brand strategies

  • Consistently follow up with all sales and marketing team members, keeping them accountable to marketing goals during a given time period.

  • Creating and experimenting with strategic new sales and marketing mediums.

  • Working to meet sales targets set by the country director. Providing recommendations on strategies to meeting set targets after reviewing trends, data and projections.

  • Working with required CRM tools as determined by Eneza tracking leads, deals and sales stages at every point in time.

  • Help the sales team determine which opportunities to pursue and how much effort and time to spend on various clients or leads; ensuring each sales rep & yourself has closed 3 deals per quarter and decreased our sales cycle by 10% per annum

Operations:

  • Data Management: Manage and evaluate data to determine the effectiveness of a product or campaign.

  • Contract Proposals: Create proposals & contracts that satisfy both company and customer needs.

  • Application Management: Ensure all sales team members are utilizing Pipedrive

  • Sales Forecasting: By recognising past trends, you should forecast future sales

  • Provide data, analyses, modeling, and reporting to support sales force quarterly business reviews.

Training: Training new and current sales team to ensure consistent sales generated wins

Evaluation and Implementation: By evaluating data from Hubspot you should be able to let us know what strategy is working or not working

Strategy: Contribute to the 1- 2 year business vision as a member of the executive leadership team.

Evaluate sales strategies, plans, goals, and objectives by;

  • Managing sales data

  • Reporting sales and campaign results

  • Communicating news and wins

  • Organizing and maintaining sales collateral for access by reps

  • Sales forecasting for goal setting, using past data and indicators

  • Managing sales representative compensation plans and incentives

  • Handling lead generation and booking appointments

  • Training staff in products, market, and processes for sales excellence

  • Contribute expertise to optimize sales strategy and territory sizing, structuring, and alignment.

  • Defining sales territories in Ghana

  • Managing technical tools and platforms, including CRMs (customer relationship management platforms such Pipedrive).

KPI’s to be assessed by:

  • Improve conversion rates by measuring sales efficiency in each stage

  • Shorten Sales Cycle; Managing the sales cycle by breaking it down into its individual parts and shaving days off of the most inefficient sections.

  • Maximize on the win factors; By calculating each rep’s win rates for opportunities of different sizes, for different products, and any other relevant variable.

Skills:

  • Ability to work with any CRMs tracking leads and deals

  • Ability to prioritize and work across multiple campaigns simultaneously while also being asked to lead specific marketing campaigns if necessary

  • Must maintain professional appearance at all times

  • Can effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong Analytical and technical skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Detail oriented and not letting tasks fall within the cracks

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Effective decision making skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
