Job Title: OFS Remote Accounts Sales Manager

The Ghana Country Leader/OFS SSA Remote Accounts Sales Manager has dual responsibility overseeing overall BHGE operations in Ghana, as well as managing OFS remote sales accounts in Sub-Saharan Africa. In Ghana, role will be responsible developing a winning in-country growth strategy, increasing profitability, managing cost and improving cash collection. Role will also serve as OFS account manager for SSA remote countries, being able to accurately define the scope & market that exists for OFS.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead, Create Demand, Develop Business and Grow Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE)
  • Build strong customer relationships; the position is primarily a client facing role, thus requires maintaining a strong customer relationship across multiple levels
  • Support operations efficiently, while focusing on eliminating operational waste and cost discipline
  • Manage industry affairs and interface with local authorities, government agencies and local professional bodies
  • Work closely with Regional Local Content Leader to develop a local content strategy
  • Promote and Lead BHGE’s policies, standards and commitment to Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Work closely with the regional teams (Functions, Product Companies, Management) to identify synergy/growth opportunitiesOFS SSA Remote Accounts Sales Manager
  • Actively engage with customers in remote countries across SSA.
  • Define and map the key customer contacts and respective roles within the project – buyer, supporter, approver etc. Closely engage with all customers and BHGE leadership alike to ensure the right level of engagement exists to maximize project wins for BHGE.
  • Understand the key aspects of projects and what BHGE has to offer to win it.
  • Drive mobilization and project milestones with the operational teams in order to understand and catch potential customer concerns and problems ahead of time.
  • Drive key elements during tendering to support Comm Ops team, deliver mobilization and job execution that will maximize BHGE return for specified customers.
  • Be able to manage customer expectations and provide the required feedback and interface with the customers that will ensure build trust and understanding.
  • Clearly define customer wants and deal breakers back to the BHGE team to ensure full alignment with customer expectations.
  • Understand contract terms and work with ops teams to ensure targets are met (and exceeded) – both technical, commercial and HSE.
  • Drive revenue synergies across all PCs with the dedicated customers including Ethiopia – PolyGCL; Mozambique – Wentworth, Sasol; South Sudan – Dar
  • Petroleum; Gambia – FAR; Djibouti – Electricity de Djibouti Ice land Drilling; Niger – CNPC; Madagascar – Madagascar oil; Namibia – Chariot, Tullow and South Africa – PetroSA

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in business, operations, or a technical / engineering discipline/or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of combined overall experience in Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Commercial Operations in Oil & Gas Industry
  • 15+ years in Oil Services Industry
  • Management experience with direct and indirect reporting
  • Rig Count, eTAM, Sales Force, E2E and S&OP Experience
  • Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location
  • Solid understanding of project financials and P&L
  • Good understanding of legal T&Cs
  • Thorough understanding of all OFS PL’s and what synergies exist
  • Very flexible to travel frequently across multiple countries in SSA
