The Local Government Service is a public Service institution established by the Local Government Service Act, 2003 (Act 656) which has been repealed and replaced with the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936). The Service exists ‘’to secure effective administration and management of the decentralised local government system in the country’’.
Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Programmer (Serial No. OHLGS 2)
Job Purpose:
To provide technical advice in the acquisition, development, implementation and deployment of Information Technology systems and resources for business development and improvement.
Accountability: The Assistant Programmer shall report to the Head of Department/ Unit.
Remuneration: The Assistant Programmer is a graduate (first degree) entry position with salary level SSSP 16L and other attractive fringe benefits.
Required Skills or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and Computer Engineering from a recognized university
