Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary/Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to be based in West Africa on an expatriate basis. This Project Manager will be working within the oil and gas, mining and construction industries and must have knowledge of these areas.

Key Responsibilities (But not limited to):

• Experience in the position of Project/Contract Manager in structural, mechanical, plate work, piping, electrical and instrumentation construction in the mining field
• Knowledge of financial and commercial principles, especially in the construction field, to ensure active management of allowable, cost, revenue and commercial impacts
• Ability to prepare monthly project cost, recon and forecast reports
• Become aware and compliant to company contract life cycle systems, while still innovating and expanding on existing policies
• Have strategic inputs into the tender process, by assisting in compiling Contractual Strategy, and providing input into items which may not be known by Estimating
• Management of project risk by ensuring compliance with commercial contract requirements, identifying risk, and ensuring risk is minimized and opportunities maximized
• Effectively manage the human resources of the project by assisting site manager with recruitment to ensure proper team composition, management, and leadership of the team, fulfilling the role of mentor and regular performance reviews with direct reports
• Management of project resources by ensuring efficient utilization, monitoring of allowable and billing controls, and overseeing and assistance to procurement departments as well as Site Manager when needed to ensure timely completion of project

Key Qualifications (But not limited too):

• Experience and in-depth knowledge as a Project Manager
• Experience in structural, mechanical, plate work, piping, electrical and instrumentation
• Mining Industry knowledge preferable
• 10 – 15 Years experience in the construction or related fields
