Job Description

Job Title: Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to be based in West Africa. Must be able to relocate as an expatriate and willing to work within the oil and gas, construction and mining industry.

Key Responsibilities (But not limited to):

• Experience and in depth knowledge as Site Manager in structural, mechanical, plate work, piping, electrical and instrumentation construction in the mining field
• Effective coordination, management, and leadership of the site project team, to ensure the construction team members and the different departments on site (construction, material control, quality, planning etc.) operate efficiently and cohesively in order to achieve project objectives
• Effective compliance and assistance to company and client safety and quality requirements
• Manage the client relationship by developing a strong relationship with client, meet or exceed client expectations, while still understanding contractual obligations
• Track progress by producing weekly/monthly reports as required, ensure daily diaries are submitted to client daily, oversee Construction Manager and hold regular progress meetings to ensure areas are handed over on time and project is completed within schedule, and ensure commercial and contractual requirements are met by issuing notices to client as required
• Manage site financial controls and assets, such as ensuring proper records are kept of plant hours and downtime, control of on-site expenditure, management of site subcontractors, ensure assets are maintained and policies adhered to
• Mobilize site on time, by establishing a Mobilisation Plan including recruitment and selection of a suitable site project team, identification of site establishment requirements and implementation thereof, identification of plant and equipment requirements and mobilization thereof

Key Qualifications (But not limited to):

• Experience and in depth knowledge as a Site Manager
• Experience in structural, mechanical, plate work, piping, electrical and instrumentation
• Mining Industry knowledge preferable
• 10 – 15 Years experience in the construction or related fields
