Job Title 1: Chief of Party

Job Description

RTI is recruiting candidates for a Basic Education Program in Ghana.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master’s or higher degree in education or a related field desired
  • 15 years of relevant experience in educational development, drawing in particular from experience in teacher training, literacy and numeracy improvement, education management and governance, community mobilization, ICT in education applications, and/or learning assessment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate international and local staff into a cohesive team
  • Ability to develop to effective working relationships with donors, government counterparts, local organizations, and other program partners
  • Experience working on large-scale projects (at least $10 million) and with donor project management policies, procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and/or DFID
  • Position require fluency in English
Job Title 2: Deputy Chief of Party

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master’s or higher degree in a related field desired
  • 12 years of relevant experience in education program implementation, early grade literacy, assessment, research, teacher professional development and/or school management support programs
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Ministries of Education to improve their education systems, working in the education or human capacity building sector for education management and service delivery
  • Experience as a manager of similar programs in other African countries
  • Prior experience and familiarity with donor project management policies, procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and/or DFID are a plus
  • Prior experience working on a large-scale (e.g. $10 million or larger) projects
Job Title 3: Senior Reading Specialist

Required Skills or Experience

Advertisement
  • Advanced degree in education, with a focus on curriculum and instruction, early grade reading/literacy, teacher training, bilingual education, and/or assessment
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working in the field of literacy or reading instruction, teacher training, or bilingual education
  • Demonstrated ability to work with NGOs and with government agencies in the design and implementation of programs to support literacy
  • Prior experience working on a USAID-funded project is preferred

 Job Title 4: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master’s Degree in monitoring, assessment or related field
  • 6 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and research, with a focus on education and experience with USAID
  • Exceptional technical skills in data management, M&E, survey design, implementation, mapping, and/or assessment
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other MS Office software is required; knowledge of data analysis software desired
  • Prior experience and familiarity with international development partners’ monitoring and evaluation procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and DFID, are a plus
Job Title 5: Finance Manager

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field plus 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting with CPA
  • Experience managing USAID funds and knowledge of USAID regulations required
  • At least 3 years of experience working for a USAID project is desirable
  • High level of proficiency using Quickbooks and Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience and familiarity with international development partners’ financial procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and DFID, are a plus
