Job Description
Purpose of Job:
Assist employees and Heads of Department/Site Managers with planning and organizing various employee wellbeing activities as well as coordinating of Company CSR.
Key Performance Areas:
- Coordinating various employees well being programs, such as physical activities, savings and investments options, legal counseling, and medical activities across West Africa
- Ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to ensure that all employees as well as their families are actively involved in all wellbeing programs. This includes compliance with the SMC wellbeing program
- Ensure that all wellbeing activities are carried out in accordance with Sandvik Core Values
- Monitor all activities between the various sites and to address all issues concerning employee wellbeing
- Proactively ensure that the wellbeing database is updated regularly
- Develop, implement and monitor the effectiveness of wellness initiatives and programs to improve employee health and well-being
- Submit monthly reports on various wellbeing activities from the various sites
- Prepare and setup meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related wellbeing programs
- Monitor employee absences and ensure that employees are assisted to ensure they remain focused on the job
- Design return to work program to ensure employees on sick leave return to work on time
- Be the champion of SEMP program in West Africa
- Other duties as assigned
Authority & Relations: Incumbent will report to the Human Resources/Admin Manager
Required Skills or Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management/Management Studies/Social Sciences
- Five (5) years in similar role
- Effective communication skills, oral & written
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in the use of MS Office Applications would be helpful
- Certificate of fitness to work in the mining industry
