Purpose of Job:
Manage Underground fleet maintenance as well as parts/tools store and assist the Service Manager – UGM in driving cost efficiencies and capital profit through good leadership, strong customer relations and best practice safety, health and environment effectiveness.

The Aftermarket Product Support Supervisor’s aim is to provide support for internal and external customers, specifically for the Sandvik Underground products. This person requires a deep understanding of relevant equipment in order to provide support through the life of this equipment. This person will also be required to carry out machine commissioning and operator training on an as required basis.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Provide product support to Customers in geographic area, during both, in service use of the machine and during rebuilds
2. Assist in Customer technical issues offering support on the product both internally and externally
3. Assist in compiling accurate data in relation to the warranty Process
4. Assist in Machine installation, commissioning and financial job management
5. Provide in-house technical training
6. Manage product issue resolution to provide a more reliable product
7. Assist in the rebuild process of machines that are geographically located in area of responsibility
8. Coordinate equipment audits in a timely manner
9. Offer product updates and improvements to the Customer and internally through the PLM for new and existing equipment
10. Perform fault diagnosis and trouble shooting on equipment
11. Assist in product risk assessments
12. Routine Customer liaison seeking feedback and performance management of the Sandvik Product
13. Assist in the life cycle development and maintenance strategy for the Drilling products
14. Development of critical spares and recommended spare lists based on forecast utilization
