Job Description

Job Title:  Warehouse Officer

Purpose of Job:

• To manage all aspects of inventory and maintain safe and effective processes at the Warehouse

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Inventory and People to ensure profitability and optimal service delivery
• Lead physical stock taking exercises, ensuring required variance reconciliation.
• Ensure effective on-boarding, training, manpower planning, communication, performance management and coachinglmentoring of your Team
• Ensure implementation of best practice inventory management systems in line with Company policy and set KPI’s.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Inventory/Logistics Manager
• Work towards achieving agreed personal competencefcareer development activities
• Provide professional advice for strategic logistics & inventory planning and development
• Effectively coordinate all SHEQ related issues to maintain agreed targets.
• Manage customer issues and propose system improvements

Required Skills or Experience

Tertiary /Professional qualifications in Stores Management and Inventory Control is required
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
Solid knowledge in the fundamental principles of Supply Management
Solid overall knowledge of Spare Parts, Tools, and Heavy Duty Equipment etc.
Proficiency in Business English (written & spoken) with excellent writing skills
Advance computer literacy in stores and sales systems and MS Office package
Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary /multicultural Team
Previous experience within the Mining and/or Construction industry would be advantageous

Special Requirement:

• This position is available at Pakyi No.1 (near Kumasi).
• Successful applicants would be required to work at Sandvik sites in Ghana and other West African Countries.
