Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Manager (Corporate)


Position Summary
Develop strategic marketing and promotional programs including effective public relation activities that will position the organizations hospitals and clinics as the facility of choice in their catchment areas and the country at large

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the organizations brand as well as devising appropriate branding strategies
  • Responsible for managing the organization’s brand by ensuring that standards are maintained at all times
  • Assist in evaluating new business opportunities that fit the strategic direction of the organization
  • Develop and maintain relationships with businesses and community groups to promote the organization’s network of hospitals /clinics and their services
  • Assist in developing and marketing new services of the organization’s network of hospitals and clinics
  • Provide presentation and product/service demonstrations to relevant clients
  • Create and maintain relevant marketing literature both electronic and paper based for the organization
  • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts, and associated documentation
  • Develop, draft and distribute media releases/advertisements that meet the marketing strategy of the organization and that comply with set policy guidelines
  • Plan and execute events (public awareness campaigns, media and publicity campaigns, staff annual function and social responsibility projects) in coordination with the relevant Departmental Heads as may be determined
  • Ensure that marketing budgets are prepared and managed in line with set standards and that cost reports are analyzed and variances clarified/reported on timely basis

Required Skills or Experience

  • A Degree in Marketing or equivalent qualification as a minimum requirement
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in a similar industry
  • Related managerial experience in a hospital or similar environment
  • Proven ability to both lead and work within a marketing team, and to employ both non-traditional and traditional approaches toward problem solving
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent negotiation skills and persuasiveness whilst maintaining a professional approach
  • Proven ability to use own initiative, and the ability to act decisively on own authority when required
  • Proven ability to build and maintain industry networks
  • Good computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Internet)
