Available Positions:

Position: Data Network Manager

Job Role:

  1. Manage, plan and coordinate:
    1. The section’s systems rollout to meet specified quality and budget constraints.
    2. Technical RFP preparation & system evaluation
  2. Manage & improve the Operation & Maintenance process & activities of the following systems
  3. Prepare & design all needed process & procedures relevant to the tasks performed by the section internally & externally.
  4. Generates relevant weekly and monthly reports (Activity, Performance, KPIs, Statistics and Marketing reports etc…).
  5. Support the Head of department.

Educational Requirements:

  1. Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer science with 3-5 years experience in Data/IP networking and 3 years in GSM & GPRS environment, with direct experience in Juniper & CISCO Network equipments
  2. Licenses or Certifications Required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Technical competencies:

  1. In depth knowledge in Network System technologies (GSM, WCDMA and GPRS architecture, IP networks, etc.)
  2. In depth knowledge in Management systems associated to different architectures and/or pieces of equipment
  3. In depth knowledge in functionality and integration of different Multimedia equipment and systems existing in the market.
  4. In depth knowledge in Database functioning & architecture
  5. In depth knowledge in Windows OS, UNIX & Linux
  6. In depth Knowledge of IP and data Networking

Position: Multimedia Services Team Lead

Job Role:

  1. Supervise the day to day administration, operation and maintenance of all Multimedia Services Systems (SMSC, CBRT, MMSC, MIEP, 3G Mobile TV, 3G Portal, VRBTetc.)
  2. Supervise and monitor the Multimedia Services Systems performance.
  3. Coach and lead  in the preparation of weekly performance
  4. Coach and lead  in the preparation of monthly activity reports
  5. Coach and lead  in the preparation of monthly statistics report
  6. Lead and manage new projects and existing systems expansions
  7. Supervise and monitor backup and recovery tasks for the Multimedia Services systems.

Educational Requirements:

  1. Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer science with 2-3 years (minimum) experience in Information systems & Multimedia and Mobile  services and 1 year (minimum) in GSM & direct experience in Multimedia & Charging Systems.

Position:  SMC Engineer (4 Positions)

Job Summary:

  1. To provide 24x7x365 Network Surveillance, problem resolution, monitoring, controlling, escalating and dispatching of all network elements, providing real time and prompt resolution to all network faults to improve and maintain Network performance and quality.
  2. To manage all network changes on MTNGH network ensuring changes are in accordance with company policies and procedures and do not negatively impact network quality.

Job Role:

  1. Manage & monitor all network elements and services efficiently

  3. Implement & control Service affecting work
  4. Control Infrastructure access

  6. Interface with the various groups in the company in resolving network problems

Educational Requirements:

  1. Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications) and/or a related Computer Engineering with 2 years hands-on experience in light current, telecommunications at least 1 year experience in GSM switching environment preferably working on Ericsson switches

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Position: HLS Engineer

Job Summary:

  1. To provide High Level Support and Solution resolution in the multifaceted complex core network providing a highly resilient quality network which is always available to the customer and to implement, integrate and configure all new/upgrade core nodes seamlessly in a timely manner minimizing negative impact on the network performance.

Job Role:

  1. Solve complex problems raised by second line Operation & Maintenance.
  2. Ensure no congestion on signalling links and report to core network planning for expansion when needed.
  3. Taking all necessary actions to improve ASR in consultation with HLS Team Lead.
  4. Open Customer Service Requests (CSR’s) to relevant Switching Element/Node Supplier(s).
  5. To take any recommended action (vendor documentation) in the resolution of complex faults on the core nodes/network in consultation with HLS Team Lead.

Educational Requirements:

  1. Degree in Electrical/Electronics (Telecommunications) and/or a related Computer Engineering Degree with five (5) years hands-on experience in Telecommunication with at least three (3) years in the GSM/WCDMA industry.

Position: Core Network Engineer

Job Summary:

  1. Effectively co-ordinate and plan the core network architecture to achieve efficient redundancy leading to a quality network, without congestion. Explore possibilities to implement new features and technologies to enhance the network.

Job Role:

  1. Test, Evaluate and Integrate new features and functionality
  2. Monitor voice route utilization/Congestion

Job Role:

  1. Rollout of interconnect to other carriers including satellite carriers
  2. Interconnectivity with other telco’s regarding new link deliveries, diverse routing and operation of MTN’s interconnect and satellite links infrastructure.
  3. Ensure high performance and availability of interconnect and satellite links.
  4. Provide support to planning and interconnect account management.
  5. Maintain a sound working relationship between the Network Operations section and all associated parties, within the company and externally
  6. Oversee the implementation of the radio-related resolution
  7. Initiating corrective actions to network failures
  8. Prompt integration and configuration network elements
  9. On site remedial support Investigating and identifying reasons for abnormal network conditions

Educational Requirements:

  1. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with three (3) years relevant work experience in satellite operation and/or carrier services

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  1. PDH, SDH, Microwave radio, Point-Multipoint Systems & Satellite experience
  2. Strong knowledge Microwave TE, Fibre Optic TE, Satellite TE, DXX  experience

Position:  RAN Optimization Engineer

Job Summary:

  1. To plan the network in order to provide suitable coverage and enough capacity, attend customer complaints and optimize the network to achieve optimum performance.

Job Role:

  1. Field visits to select suitable place
  2. Attend complaints & Drive test the area
  3. Collect stats & change parameters
  4. Collect stats & change parameters
  5. Compile data to required to put sites on air
