Job Description

The Applicant will report to the Head, Legal and will assist with:

Ensuring compliance by market operators of the provision of the Securities Industry Law including licensing, surveillance and inspections of the market operators and maintaining appropriate registers
Handling all litigations for and on behalf of the Commission
Ensuring that the Commission complies with all its statutory requirements under the securities industry laws
Developing procedures to be followed at administrative hearings of the Commission
Enforcement of the Commission’s powers under the Securities Industry Law
Required Skills or Experience

LLB/BL with a minimum of 6 years post qualification working experience
Knowledge and experience in securities regulation
Computer literate
