Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Chief Manager, HR and Admin

Job Purpose

• To provide strategic leadership, technical and administrative direction for the attainment of the strategic objectives of the Human Resource and Admin Department

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement HR strategy, lead and develop the HR team within the commission
• Develop effective HR procedures and policies to reflect the commission’s aims and focus
• Overall responsibility of the recruitment process
• Evaluate and make recommendation on cost-effective training and development programmes
• Enforce HR best practice

Qualification Required & Experience

• A masters degree in Human Resource Management or the relevant professional designation
• A minimum of 12 years post (professional or post-graduate) qualification working experience. 3 years of which must be at Senior Management level in the public or private sector

Competencies and skills
• Extensive experience in a senior HR role
• Ability to influence decisions at all levels
• Strong track-record in HR generalist and change management roles
• Extensive experience of managing a team
• Faultless communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough working knowledge of Ghana’s employment legislation
