Job Description

Job Title: Driver

Major Responsibilities

Driving and Chauffeuring

• Drives office vehicles safety and chaufeur office staff, official visitors and guests to official destinations
• Assists in the transportation of goods from one location to the other

Maintenance of Cars

• Cleans regularly the interior and exterior of the vehicles
• Checks oil, water, brake and clutch fluids on a regular basis, tyre pressures, battery water and overall vehicle condition on a monthly basis or after 5000 km whichever comes earlier, tests lights, brakes bodywork for dents, etc
• Keeps and updates mileage and fuel forms on a regular basis and registers each monthly check
• Reports the need for maintenance and undertakes minor repairs
• Reports any involvement of the project/office vehicle in any, even minor accidents or any damage or theft of equipment from the vehicle
• Assess and prompts the administration officer on the renewal of road worthy and insurance certificates

General Services

• Runs errands for the project/office e.g delivery of letters/messages, payment of bills and makes minor purchases of office supplies
• Supports other colleagues in case of need, and does other office work as assigned
• Assists in and/or carries out other activities and any tasks as assigned by the line manager

Qualification Required & Experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Able to get along with others in a professional and courteous way
• Minimum Senior High School certificate
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Keeps safety and excellence at the forefront of everything
• Valid driver D license or better with a clean driving record
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English
• Maintains high level of personal integrity and reliability
• Demonstrate dependability and self motivation
