SOS Children Villages Ghana is a child welfare organization that provides a stable family environment for children in need, with four villages currently in operation in Tema, Asiakwa, Kumasi and Tamale.
SOS Children’s Villages is active in 132 countries and territories worldwide. In all countries where SOS Children’s Villages operates, the aim is to form a national association which is its own legal entity, with its own statutes and Board of Directors. Common for all of them is membership of the international umbrella association, and the fact that their Board of Directors work on an honorary basis. Each member association has to comply with the international statutes and principles for education and child-care of SOS-Kinderdorf International, and for financial and administrative practices.
The incumbent will be required to provide administrative functional leadership in the Communication & Marketing Department and ensure an effective communications system in the organisation.
Incumbent will also be required to play an active role and be the key contact for the organisation in terms of networking, partnership and media relations.
Will report directly to the National Director and will supervise staff in the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A first degree in Humanities, Marketing, Communication Studies or Post Graduate Diploma in Communications. A Masters Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
