We are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and results-oriented person to fill the position of Head, Bancassurance.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be accountable for the Bancassurance business of the Bank. He/she will take responsibility for the growth and profitability of the Bancassurance business including sales, development of products, processes and systems related to supporting the Bancassurance business.Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the setting of Financial and Sales budgets Bancassurance for the various sub-sections and branches within the Bank and providing monthly feedback to the management committees on the performance against targets set
- Reviewing actual performance against strategic and financial plans and taking appropriate action to assist senior personal in achieving their objectives
- Setting up of an internal system to measure the cross sell of insurance products to that of core Banking products within the Bank
- Ensure that all departments/Branches receive training, where applicable for all new Bancassurance products that are launched
- Make final decision on look, feel and content of all customer communication regarding Bancassurance products (i.e. welcome, renewal rate increase letters, fulfillment pack, policy wordings, advertising etc)
- Participate and approve the pricing structure for all Bancassurance products and services rendered to achieve the overall revenue return desired by the Bank under guidance from the pricing committee
- Ensure that there is adequate communication and exchange of ideas between the Bancassurance section and other business units within the Bank
- Provide a secure, efficient, competitive and comprehensive range of services and products relating to Bancassurance
- Control over and responsibility for significant resources that directly affect the future of the business
Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum of first degree in a related field. A relevant master’s degree will be an added advantage
- Chartered Insurance Practitioner/F.C.I.I.
- A minimum of 5 years insurance industry related managerial experience
- Past exposure in retail Banking and finance insurance would be an advantage
- Excellent Presentation and Negotiation skills

- Innovative with good numerical ability
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
