Description
On Site IBM Storage Administrator would provide support for the Storage Infrastructure, manage new project implementation, and provide maintenance support services and onsite technical support to customers.
The responsibilities include:
•The FTE will be part of the Support team that install, configure and manages, monitors systems for a 24/7 Infrastructure.
•Advanced backup troubleshooting
•Backup Storage management (installation, configuration, policy, update)
•Node/ Job management (settings, scheduling, modification)
•Media management (space reclamation and scratch pool management, physical errors on media, ordering tapes and stock management)
•Externalization, off-site management (copy pool management, DRM and vaulting)
•Library management (HW problems troubleshooting, ITS calls)
•RAID and SAN management
•Day to day infrastructure support;
•System maintenance and upgrades;
•Documentation Maintenance;
•Provide continuous service improvement;
Role Skill Set Requirement:
•Bachelor’s Degree
•At least 5 years’ experience in storage management services – support and product expertise;
•At least 5 years’ experience in various SAN storage solutions across multiple accounts;
•At least 5 years’ experience in Provide highest level of technical support;
•At least 5 years’ experience in a large commercial UNIX and INTEL environments;
•At least 3 years’ experience in managing Disaster recovery and business continuity solutions;
•Excellent Knowledge of IBM Storage Solutions is very Key (i.e. IBM V7000 and other IBM enterprise storage solutions)
•Good knowledge of Tape Management Solutions;
•Good knowledge of Data Management Solutions;
