Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Responsibilities include:

Manages accounting and financial operations for the legal entity.
In charge of accounting, Month End reporting and Financial close.
Preparation of Journal entries, trial balance and expenses review, and reporting monthly financial packages.
Proactively ensures Corporate financial policy adherence.
Responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality of financials, including balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepares or reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting, including country-level, regional and Corporate reporting requirements.
Drives process improvements in the month end process and internal controls, and implements changes where needed to drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
Ensures compliance and timely filing of various statutory returns including VAT, withholding tax, Corporate Income Tax, local content reporting etc.
Provides audit support as required for both internal and external auditors.
Includes petty cash review and resupply, bank account management.
Coordinate/prepare payroll and related compliance and returns.
Coordination of A/R and A/P with GBS (Global Business Services).
Review, coordination and validation of project financial results/revenue recognition.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting where needed.
Maintains and develops constructive business relationships with stakeholders locally and internationally.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification & Experience requirement include:
Preferred: Qualified accountant, background in public accounting and/or internal and external audit experience.
Seasoned Finance professional – At least eight years of related experience, including at least five years of international professional accounting experience.
Experience from Multinational Corporation preferred, with strong English language skills.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards.
Working knowledge of SAP and financial consolidation tools.
Advanced proficiency in applicable software applications, including advanced program functions in Microsoft Office.
Ability to meet strict deadlines, expectations of completeness and accuracy, and balance multiple priorities.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong ability to influence cross-functionally at all levels.
Personal characteristics – responsible, reliable, willing to give extra effort, proactive, dedicated and strong communication skills.
