The Web Developer will join a team of professionals with over 20 years of combined experience in IT, Telecom and ISP services.

Job Description

Job Title: Web Developer

Responsibilities

• Use of WordPress, HTML & CSS, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Suite (as design is still an integral part of this role)
• Development with MySQL, SQL, PHP, JavaScript, XHTML, jQuery, API’s, MVC, Database Maintenance,
• Databases, database filters, e-commerce & payments, user registration | log in, data security, user to user web/app-based communication.
• Enterprise Portal Design for team collaboration (SharePoint, Confluence)
• Development using Objective-C, Swift and/or Java, Ruby, RoR, R, SSH, Linux/JBOSS EAP

Required Skills or Experience

• Ability to work independently yet be a very strong communicator
• Knowledge of current digital best practices and technology
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytic skills
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
• Detail oriented and Creative thinker, willing to collaborate and contribute to team discussions
• Ability to articulate clients vision through creative briefs, icons, and similar tasks
• Knowledge of education technology solutions

Qualification and experience

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Web Development: 2 years (Required)
• Developing and deploying cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud
