Tullow’s second major discovery and subsequent development in Ghana is the TEN field where first oil was successfully achieved on time and on budget in August 2016.

Job Title: Logistics Manager

Tullow Ghana Limited (TGL) is seeking to hire a Logistics Manager based in Accra who will be responsible for providing operations focussed logistics service to the Ghana Business Unit from within the Supply Chain department including:

• Developing strategy for logistics activities along with alignment methodology across Ghana & London Project Development teams, with Partners as required and through the Group SCM organisation
• Developing Category Plans for Logistics on an annual basis, defining future demand requirements and supplier options
• Developing and maintaining Logistics preferred vendor lists
• Reviewing Logistics supply market developments and opportunities
• Supporting the Business Units in defining Logistics requirements for ITT’s, and support BU’s in performing technical and commercial evaluations of Logistics bids
• Acting as technical advisor to project and operations teams in the formation of Logistics plans and strategies for current operations and/or new projects
• Developing and maintaining group processes and standards for Logistics Operations
• Liaising with Group and SCM EHS advisors with respect to Logistics Risk Assessments, Logistics supplier education, Logistics Incident management and Logistics incident investigation

You will be an experienced Logistics Manager having experience in the design of Logistics solutions and strategies and converting these into operational plans and also demonstrate experience in the following areas:

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in oilfield Logistics with 7 years managing teams.
• Extensive exposure to all aspects of major infrastructure or industrial development project and operational Logistics, including International Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearance, Yard and Warehouse organisation & management, Inland Transportation, Aviation, Road and Marine activities.
• Practical experience in development and implementation continuous improvement and cost control of Logistics operations, effectively balancing cost, service and HSE/Quality requirements
• Stakeholder management with external bodies including government and regulatory bodies
• Experience of working in remote or difficult locations
• Degree in relevant business subject preferred, Logistics qualifications desirable
