Job Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, assists in the management of human resources in UNICEF Accra and Tamale Sub Office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interprets and applies HR policies
- Reviews contractual status, within grade increment and monitors the completion of performance evaluation reports
- Maintains and updates Annual Leave records for all staff
- Assists in the recruitment of staff including evaluating candidates applications
- Processes entitlements and maintains various personnel records and files
- Develops and organises orientation of new staff members
- Prepares correspondence, special reports, evaluations and justifications, as required, on general human resource or specialized tasks that may be of a confidential nature within assigned area of responsibility
Required Skills or Experience
- First degree in human resources management, business administration or relevant field
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English required. Another UN language is an asset
