University of Ghana: Veterinarian

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the under-listed position at the Agriculture Research Centre Legon, of the Institute of Agricultural Research:

The successful candidate will carry out research and provide some extension on livestock and poultry diseases.
The candidate will specifically be responsible for research on the causes and management of pandemics, endemics and emerging animal diseases of economic and public health significance
He/she will also provide leadership in the maintenance of the health of the Centre’s stock and will also be required to teach 25% of the time

Required Skills or Experience

Candidates should possess a minimum qualification of DVM with 5-10 years post-qualification experience or a PhD
