The Faculty of Law, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for appointment as Faculty Members.

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Lecturer 

Applicants must be able to teach at least THREE of the following Courses:

• Jurisprudence
• Equity and Succession
• The Law of Torts
• Law of Immovable Property
• Criminology/Penology
• Legal System/Method
• International Trade and Investment
• Human Rights Law
• Procurement Law
• Intellectual Property Law
• Research Method for Lawyers
• Natural Resource Law
• Environmental Law

Qualification Required & Experience

The candidate must:

• Possess a Ph.D. with specialization in a particular area of study or a closely related academic area
• Have a strong research background and professional experience;
• Have at least four years of teaching experience at the University level;
• Have carried out research and published articles in the relevant area in peer-reviewed journals; and
• Have a commitment to excellent teaching at the graduate and undergraduate
• Lecturer
• Applicants should have a commitment to the advancement of research and scholarship, a willingness to learn new approaches and techniques and to be available for student supervision. Applicants should also be prepared to teach in the distance education mode.
