The last operation of this nature was carried out in 2010. The new Sustainable Development Goals, Agenda 2030, adopted in September 2015 by all UN Member States, calls for a people-centered development approach, a life of dignity for all, leaving no one behind. Results of the PHC will be used for development planning for raising the standard of living of the people of Ghana, good governance and maintaining equity and equality among all subgroups.
