Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Officer

MAIN DUTIES

Records properly all income and expenditure of the system management teams.

Receives daily sales and payment of bills from revenue collector, private subscribers and issues receipts.

Prepares payment vouchers for all expenditures.

Keeps and accounts for imprest.

Pays salaries of staff and for other contracted services as endorsed by Regional Group Manager.

Advertisement

Keeps proper financial/administrative records and prepares financial reports.

Prepares appropriate commissions for vendors as well as water bills for private subscribers.

Receives pay­in­slips from system Revenue Collectors.

Collects bank statements and reconciles same with books of the system management teams.

Undertakes to the bill of customers using the approved computerized software.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must have

A minimum of Higher National Diploma in Accountancy or at least Level two (2) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) qualifying
examinations or its equivalent; three (3) years’ experience as an Accounts Officer or equivalent in a reputable private or public sector organisation;

Three (3) years’ experience as an Accounts Officer or equivalent in a reputable private or public sector organisation;

Adequate computer literacy skills.

Passed a selection interview.
