The purpose of the role is to contribute to Resourcing strategy development and deliver operational support. The incumbent is expected to be the process expert for interfacing with other HR functions, key business stakeholders and represent Vodafone with external organisations. To develop and execute a best-in-class talent management approach, driven by identified Ghana & functional strategic talent requirements. Provide expert consultancy to deliver a strong diverse pipeline of leaders with the right skills, behaviors & role experiences to take on key leadership roles who are equipped to lead the organizational transformation goals and create outstanding levels of employee engagement & commitment.

Will have responsibility for partnering with specific functional area & take ownership for a defined area of the Ghana talent strategy )

Job Description

Job Title: Resourcing & Talent Mgt Specialist

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to Resourcing strategy development and delivers operational support
  • Play a critical role in the definition and representation of the Vodafone brand to potential candidates
  • Track recruiting metrics in order to continuously improve on recruiting performance
  • Utilise most efficient sourcing channels in resourcing approach, adapting to new and improved strategies with changing trends for both current vacancies and the talent pipeline.
  • Effectively manage Resourcing & Talent Management software and systems
  • Stay up-to-date on recruitment policy and the Labour Act 2003, and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations & policy
  • Build understanding, skill-sets and competencies in Resourcing and talent management within the HR and Line Manager communities to ensure candidate and hiring manager experience is exceptional
  • Build & manage Vodafone’s professional network through digital platforms and relationships with HR professionals, bodies, colleges and other partners
  • Take ownership of the implementation of key elements of the HR calendar and lead on the development and implementation of Resourcing projects and initiatives within the overall Global, Region and local HR roadmap
  • Provide operational support in the execution of all elements of the operational people plan for Resourcing, including the provision of tools, processes, coaching and best practice sharing
  • Active involvement in talent needs analysis to identify strategic business talent needs (for short & long term) in consultation with senior stakeholders & HRBPs
  • Work in partnership with HR Business partners to conduct specific business unit and functional talent reviews , understanding talent themes
  • Identify critical capability gaps & work with HRBPs & the wider talent team on strategies to pipeline exceptional talent in areas of responsibility
  • Embed & communicate talent architecture, processes, definitions with key business stakeholders & within HR to deliver a strong pipeline of diverse leadership talent
  • Provide professional talent consultancy support to key business stakeholders & HR BP community, driving ownership of leadership, talent & diversity into the business.
  • Define & implement an appropriate assessment approach for leadership talent, managing key talent assessment initiatives at the organization / functional level
  • Responsible for the project management & delivery of other specific talent/ leadership interventions based on needs identified
  • Drive the Diversity & Inclusion agenda through the leadership and talent activities – building a diverse pipeline of talent
  • Support HRBP to drive a quarterly talent review process and robust/diverse functional succession plans – Identifying critical roles & cross-functional, international & external perspective
  • Responsibility for specific project budgets within area of responsibility

Technical / Professional Skills

  • 4 + years experience within a consultancy role in the recruitment, leadership & talent field
  • Track record of designing, delivering & evaluating innovative talent interventions in a complex environment
  • Significant experience in talent assessment and development
  • Experience within a global blue chip / FMCG organization would be ideal.
  • Experience of facilitating at senior leader level
  • Psychometric qualifications highly desirable e.g. MBTI
  • Credible stakeholder management & influencing skills
