Job Description

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Purpose

• Provide support to Business users of BI applications, systems and processes
• Provide data extracts to Business Users
• Support DWH/ETL Specialist working on assigned tasks.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Work with all areas of the business to understand their BI reporting requirements.
• Gather and document business reporting requirements and translate these into system architecture designs.
• Work with Business users and 3rd party suppliers to understand, analyse, and refine the application requirements and, where needed, provide guidance on selection of BI tools and methodologies.
• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions utilizing 3rd party BI and ETL tools.
• Support the data warehouse design and integration efforts, including data sourcing and transformation, logical/physical data modelling and ETL development in support of the BI application.
• Participate in the testing and verification of the BI application.
• Provide business users with timely and accurate business data and reports.
• Provide best practice guidance and mentoring to Business users of BI applications.
• Train and assist Business users of BI applications.

Provide ITIL-based Incident and Problem management support (2nd & 3rd Line Support)Technical / Professional Qualification, Competencies & Experience

• Excellent SQL skills & Good knowledge of relational and object database models.
• In depth knowledge of the software application development and testing methodology.
• In depth knowledge of Business Intelligence tools
• Strong technological background, with qualification in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent
• Excellent SQL skills & Good knowledge of relational and object database models.
• Demonstrates a high degree of BI tool expertise and development skills.
• In depth knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.
• In depth knowledge of the software application development and testing methodology.
• More than 2 years’ work experience in BI/DWH support.
• BI consulting soft skills experience.
• Understands product and promotional offers reporting in BI
