An exciting job offer exists in Voltic Ghana Limited for Credit or Account Receivables (AR) Controller in Accra. Voltic (GH) Limited, has been known for manufacturing of the leading premium water brand in Ghana for over two decades. Currently, Voltic (GH) Limited has expanded its portfolio to cover alcoholic beverages, carbonated soft drinks, Juices and Value Added Dairies. The Credit Controller position is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

Job Description

Job Title: Credit or Account Receivables Controller

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Credit risk assessment of all potential customers and review of credit risk of existing customers.
. Develop credit reports covering the performance and quality of accounts receivables portfolio.
. Ensure customers pay within their agreed payment terms as per the company’s credit policy.
. Ensure reconciliation of customer accounts.
. Address customer account queries timely to ensure a satisfactory conclusion.
. Hold weekly team meetings to discuss progress against plans and take remedial actions where necessary.
. Handle disputed accounts and negotiate realistic payments on timely basis.
. Mentor and develop the Credit Officers.
. Obtain credit references of distributors and wholesalers and ensure that all required documentations are obtained.
. Validating credit limits with District Managers.
. Responsible for organizing credit committee meetings.
. Any other duties as may be assigned in line with business objectives.

Skills, Experience & Education

. Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting
. Masters in Finance / Accounting will be an added advantage

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
• At least 4 years of proven experience in a credit /financial risk discipline
• Good knowledge of Syspro or SAP
• Demonstrate leadership across the organization and within the team
• Demonstrate effective management capabilities
• Display a high degree of honesty, accuracy, numeracy, reliability and attention to detail
• Engage in a professional and collaborative manner with staff at all levels across the organization;
• Effective communication and networking skills.
