WorldCover sells crop insurance to farmers in the developing world, starting with Ghana. We use remote sensing and data science to create a simple and affordable insurance product to protect farmers from drought. Our insurance policies are funded by investors through a marketplace model so we don’t directly take risk for payouts. We are a for-profit Public Benefit Corporation headquartered in New York City, backed by global venture capital investors and Y Combinator.

Job Title: Sales Innovation Director
We are not looking for a Sales Manager who grows our sales according to targets. Instead we are looking for an innovator who can experiment and develop a brand new sales model.
Some sales experience preferred, but most important is high energy, creativity, and a relentless, hypothesis-driven approach.
Job Location: Ghana, in one of Northern, Upper East, Upper West, or Brong Ahafo regions with significant travel throughout the country.
Duration: 2 year commitment to WorldCover, with 3-month review period.
As Sales Innovations Director, your primary responsibility will be to develop a new sales model from scratch, which:
You will be given 3 months to show initial results. If successful, you will oversee the roll-out of the model across Brong-Ahafo region, which will include hiring a dedicated Regional Sales Coordinator to carry out the new sales model.Then, you will grow into a broader role with WorldCover in which you will measure, monitor, and improve sales metrics (costs and revenues) across the organization in all regions we operate.
